Post2 (Pg3) Karine.JPG

Head of Academic Advisors

Karine Toh

Karine is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution, taking History, Economics, Literature, and Mathematics as part of the Humanities Programme. While confused on why she is still in the MUN circuit, she hopes that this year's BYMUN will be a fun and engaging one, with the introduction of dynamic and fun councils!

Post2 (Pg4) Yang Tian.JPG

Head of Academic Advisors

Yang Tian

Some days start best with her sleeping until sunlight streams through the window, and others with a strawberry latte. For Yang Tian, both feel just right.

Yang Tian is a JC2 student taking a hybrid combination of Math, Physics, China Studies in Chinese and Economics.

Music is an inseparable part of her life, and she could not live without her earphones. Guess what, although she plays instruments like piano and cello, her playlists are filled with rap and R&B.

She believes the process is always more meaningful than the result and hopes all delegates at BYMUN 2026 enjoy themselves and leave with happy memories.

Esther Seng Ying Ying

Esther is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution. As the Press Corps Advisor for BYMUN 2026, she strives to guide her team of chairs in capturing the vibrant discussions and nuances of international affairs throughout the conference. Known for balancing her life on caffeine, tea, and creativity, Esther manages to find inspiration even in the smallest moments. Despite taking a “nerdy” combination of PCME, she always makes time to jot down spontaneous thoughts in her all-in-one handy notebook that never leaves her side. Outside of MUN, she plays badminton to unwind – smashing shuttlecocks is indeed therapeutic after pushing herself through essay drafts and calculus. She hopes that every delegate will have a meaningful and enriching experience at BYMUN 2026.

Post2 (Pg10) Krystal.JPG

senior press editors-in-chief

Ang Siang Teng Krystal

Krystal is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution. Having a strong passion for anything Chinese-related, she takes the “this-subject-combi-exists?!” combination of Math, Economics, China Studies in Chinese, and Chinese Language and Literature, which lands her in CLEP. 2026 marks her fourth year in Lianhe Zaobao Student Correspondent Club. She enjoys writing articles and learning the use of language in press. A good day for her is one with time for reading while sipping a cup of caramel macchiato with rays of sunlight beaming through the curtains. The world of Beethoven and Chopin’s music is the best relaxation for her. She also loves theatre and musicals.

As the Press Corps Advisor for BYMUN 2026, Krystal believes in always looking at the bright side of things. She wishes all delegates a meaningful and joyful BYMUN journey, hopefully not “write like you’re running out of time”, and to “not throw away [your] shot!”

Chng Yu Ye Kelly

Kelly is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution. As a new member of the BYMUN committee, she is excited to make new friends and see what secondary school students are up to nowadays. She enjoys learning new things and also reading in her free time. In her actual free time, she enjoys playing guzheng and watching documentaries. Although she is not the best at socialising, she is happy to hold meaningful conversations with other people.

Li Sijie

Sijie is a JC1 student from Hwa Chong Institution. As a member of the Press Corps Advisors team, she hopes to introduce fresh new mechanisms to help everyone discover innovative ways of expression through new media. Perhaps what is the best is just around the corner — well, at least she truly  believes so. No one might have said this, but she actually has a secret identity to be unveiled: an “abstract thinker.” She’s especially skilled at discussing impractical philosophical ideas, so don’t let her unrestrained thoughts carry you away! Still, if you’re also intrigued by abstract questions, she gladly welcomes you to join her for a tea talk session. She hopes that all delegates are able to speak, to write, and to express themselves freely. Wishing everyone an enjoyable and fulfilling conference!

Leung Yu Sum

Yu Sum is a JC1 student from Hwa Chong Institution. Having done sports for more than half her life, she started questioning her life choices when she was told she had the neck of a 40-year-old — perhaps that’s why she decided to sit still and be an Academic Adviser for BYMUN. No matter how packed her schedule is, Yu Sum always sleeps before 10 p.m., as she simply cannot survive a day with less than 7 hours of sleep. She hopes that delegates will not only have an enriching and enjoyable conference, but also get enough rest — because sleep is diplomacy, too.

Liu Yiming

Yiming is a JC1 student from Hwa Chong Institution who enjoys long bus rides with earphones in her ears without music. However, when she does listen to music, her top pick will be jazz. Yiming often wonders how to get her cats to accept her cuddles but she would also chase her cats off her desk when she’s busy. Yiming hopes that BYMUN 2026 will be an enriching experience for all delegates, and wishes everyone all the best!

Ke Bei You

You would probably spot her at random corners, taking naps, playing roblox, watching ghost hunting youtube videos, listening to Rotten Mango podcasts, watching crime films or playing with her dog. As a JC1 student from Hwa Chong Institution, Beiyou’s catchphrase is “I want to go home” (though sometimes she says this even when she is in fact at home) She participated in BYMUN 2024 as a clueless delegate, with absolutely zero knowledge about MUN. But look where she is now! She hopes BYMUN 2026 will be bedazzling, bonkers, breathtaking and an absolute blast for everyone.

Post3 (Pg2) Wen Xi.JPG

Head of Secretariat Advisor

Ng Wen Xi

Wen Xi is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution, taking Physics, Chemistry, Math, and China Studies in Chinese, (and a passion for History). She enjoys the quiet focus of studying alone as she values her inner peace, but also believes people are a mosaic of memories, cherishing deep and meaningful connections. A passionate musician, she has played the piano for 15 years now, always on the lookout for classical music concerts featuring her favourite composers, Beethoven. She also enjoys listening to Bruno Major and Benson Boone while being on an evening run, or at Ultimate Frisbee training.

Having been the Secretary General of BYMUN 2024, Wen Xi is back this edition as the Head of Secretary Advisors, hoping to bring an even better BYMUN experience to our fellow delegates. She warmly wishes delegates all the best. May BYMUN 2026 bring people together, inspire thoughtful debate, and shape memorable journeys. Hope everyone seize the opportunity, live in the present and enjoy the conference!

Post3 (Pg3) Fu Yu.JPG

Publicity Secretariat Advisor

Fu Yu

Fu Yu is a JC2 Student from Hwa Chong Institution that finds joy in life’s simple yet beautiful moments — the smooth chill of an iced pistachio latte, the sweetness of a rich chocolate cake, or the quiet rhythm of a late evening run. An avid cafe hopper, Fu Yu delights in discovering hidden gems that serve comfort. As a violinist that has played in an orchestra for years, she is deeply drawn to the worlds of classical symphony music but also often drifts into the soft, dreamy tones of ambient pop artists like Neptune. As a Physics, Chem, Math, China Studies in Chinese taker, Fu Yu gets through long study days with her friends at quiet cafes— always finding comfort in “suffering” together. Fu Yu warmly wishes delegates all the best, hoping it brings together bright minds, sparks meaningful discussions, and creates memorable experiences for all involved.

Post3 (Pg7) Hoon Ee.JPG

administration secretariat advisor

Quah Hoon Ee Ally

Ally is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution, taking Biology, Chemistry, Math and China Studies in Chinese. Her favorite pastime is to curl up on a couch and read whatever catches her attention for the month, but unfortunately doesn’t have much time to do so now having to balance her academics with two CCAs.

Having participated in BYMUN 2024 as a USG Admin, Ally is very happy to be back as a USG Admin Advisor and sincerely wishes for all delegates, chairs, secretariats and members working behind the scenes to enjoy the event and leave with wonderful memories. :)

Post3 (Pg6) Angelina.JPG

administration secretariat advisor

Xu Yiming Angelina

Angelina is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution, taking Physics, Chemistry, Math and China Studies in Chinese. In the past, her favourite pastime would be practicing classical guitar and guzheng, but recently, her newfound hobby would be to sit in a cafe and zone out for hours, while trying her very best to ignore the 100 tasks labelled ‘PRIORITY’ on her to-do list.

Nonetheless, as this year’s USG Admin Advisor, she hopes to help ensure that the execution of BYMUN 2026 will be as smooth as butter. She wishes all delegates, chairs, secretariats, and everyone working behind the scenes an enjoyable experience in every aspect of the event, from the planning and preparations to the execution on D-Day!

Post3 (Pg5) Faith (2)_edited.jpg

Logistic secretariat advisors

Faith Wong

Faith is a JC2 student from Hwa Chong Institution who takes the bizarre hybrid subject combination of Chemistry, Math, Economics and China Studies in Chinese. In her free time, she likes to build mini lego figurines while watching the newest drama. Her goal this year is to stop procrastinating and lock in the entire year, though she often finds herself asleep at the library during her study sessions. She wishes all the delegates a BYMUN 2026 that forges new friendships, unfolds new perspectives and unlocks core memories. As her favourite movie Dead Poets Society would say: Carpe Diem!

Post3 (Pg4) Wan Xuan.JPG

Lim Wan Xuan

Wan Xuan is a JC2 student at Hwa Chong Institution with the subject combination Biology, Chemistry, Math and China Studies in Chinese. She particularly enjoys listening to music – be it R&B or K-pop, she’s always willing to share her earphones with someone and put them on new tunes.

Outside of school, you’ll usually catch Wan Xuan at a Muji outlet hunting for pen refills. She hopes that everyone involved in BYMUN 2026 will be able to enjoy themselves and gain new takeaways through the experience.

Secretary General

Fan Yanyang

Yanyang is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School. She’s a firm believer of going with the flow and leading a life of spontaneity, which also might mean taking naps whenever her bed calls to her. To combat this, she stays organised by setting alarms every 15 minutes and keeping an ever-growing to-do list in her Notes app. In which she also has 847 (and counting!) notes of various epiphanies that strike her at any moment of the day. Yanyang is extremely honoured to serve as the Secretary General of BYMUN 2026 and cannot wait to see all delegates having a fruitful experience in BYMUN and walking home with a heavier brain, a fuller heart.

Keira Ling En Ting

Keira is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School who takes Biology, Literature and Japanese. Though her relationship with the latter remains unclear… sometimes she enjoys it, other times not so much. There are two ways she goes about spending her free time. Either by going on a full day outing with her friends, or staying at home and enjoying her quiet time. She enjoys reading, drawing and videography. Recently, she’s been experimenting with cooking. As USG Publicity, Keira is excited and a little nervous for this new experience. She is honoured to be able to take part in BYMUN 2026, and wishes all delegates all the best!

Zong Xiyu

Xiyu is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School who loves being part of the school’s lion dance troupe CCA! During her free time, she enjoys listening to music by Shan Yichun, Liu Yuning and K-pop group ENHYPEN. She also likes to watch Chinese variety shows while eating, especially comedy shows. Though an extreme introvert, she has been stepping out of her comfort zone to try new and “scary” things! For her first time participating in BYMUN, she hopes to work with more people and is grateful for the opportunity to be in the publicity department. She wishes all delegates to have an enriching and unforgettable experience at BYMUN 2026!

Fu Xiaoya Jacquelyn

Jacquelyn is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School. During the school holidays, she loves travelling the world to learn more about different countries and their respective cultures. While she takes Japanese as her third language, she has yet to step foot in Japan, so she hopes to do so one day! In her free time, she enjoys watching video essays on YouTube and scrolling Pinterest for life inspiration. Her favourite Heytea order would be either Mango Coconut Boom or Black Tea Latte with Sago, but this habit is expensive to maintain! Despite this being her first MUN, she’s excited and hopes to use this opportunity to forge lifelong friendships and make good memories!

Xu Yuqing

Yuqing is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School. During her free time, she finds comfort in (squeezing) cuddling her two cats while sprawled out on her bed. She takes Physics, Biology and Advanced Chemistry. She questions her decisions every day in school whenever she needs to wake up at 6am to reach school on time. However, she is not discouraged by calculations and answering long essay questions because she always recharges by chasing after her cats back at home. BYMUN 2026 is a completely new experience for Yuqing, but she cannot wait to be part of trauma bonding sessions and late night discussions, and she sincerely hopes that this would be an exciting and interesting journey that everyone can take pride in.

Zhao Xiaoyu

Xiaoyu is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls' High School that takes Physics, Geography, and Advanced Mathematics - a decision that she regrets making at times. She is often seen watching table tennis on her phone. Sadly, her theoretical knowledge gained from watching games has not translated to her ability to hit the ball onto the table. She also has a love-hate relationship with geography, as she cycles between being overwhelmed from its vast content to the sense of accomplishment after finally conquering a topic. While BYMUN 2026 would be her first time taking part in planning a Model United Nations, she is excited to get to know everyone better, and she hopes that everyone will have something to take away from the experience.

Shen Shi Xuan

Shi Xuan is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls' High School, who takes Triple-Science (and Advanced Math). She enjoys music, including singing in the shower (a lot), as well as sports. These descriptions may appear to be rather simple and vague, but in person, she's the definition of "expect the unexpected". Participating in BYMUN for the first time, she hopes to learn more things, not just for work, but also in life, and make more friends along the way. All in all, she can’t wait to embark on a new journey into the vast and exciting world of BYMUN 2026!

Yan Xiaowen

Xiaowen is a tanned softballer with a boring subject combination (triple science with Advanced Math) but unconventional hobbies. As a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School, she feels old and regrets signing her soul away to Biology. Her interests are seasonal: in spring, she’s up before dawn with her telescope under a dark sky; summer finds her scuba diving among Malaysia’s (mostly bleached) coral reefs; winter brings skiing on China’s mountains and strumming her guitar. You’ll always recognise her by the cat fur clinging stubbornly to her jacket! As USG Logistics, Xiaowen is honoured to serve and leaves all delegates with her Language Arts teacher’s favourite motto: Be brave, bold, and brilliant!

Chan Yu Ya Alethea

Alethea is a Secondary 4 student in Nanyang Girls’ High School, who takes Biology, History and German as her third language. She enjoys spending time pondering over Sudoku puzzles and watching Hong Kong dramas. Though she has previously experienced Model United Nations from the perspective of a delegate, this is her first time being part of a BYMUN planning process. She believes that she will have a fruitful learning experience, and is looking forward to meeting new friends as part of this enriching experience.
