Meet The Chairs

Zhang Yiming
Zhang Yiming is a Secondary 3 student from Hwa Chong Institution. Being a history lover, he devoted more than 2,000 hours to history simulation games such as Heart of Iron 4, Europa Universalis 4, Crusader Kings 3, Victoria 3… His interests thereby (possibly) extend to politics and international relationships. As the Chair of UNHRC, he hopes that delegates will have a fruitful and enjoyable experience during BYMUN 2026. Tan Hao
Tan Hao (ENFJ) is a Secondary 4 student from Hwa Chong Institution. In his free time, he deeply enjoys binging Chinese dramas and reading novels. Occasionally, lying lazily in bed while finishing a drama or a novel on a peaceful and quiet afternoon is his way of self-love. He gets a sense of pleasure from unpacking physical books as they often come with lots of merchandise (e.g. posters, photocards etc), to the point the walls in his room are almost completely covered. Additionally, he is a huge fan of Zhang Linghe, and whenever he hears that Zhang Linghe has released a new drama, he will make time to watch it no matter how busy he is. He also has a habit of reading the news to stay informed about current affairs, and often engaging in discussions and sharing his views with his friends. This is his first MUN he has ever participated in, and he feels really honoured to serve as the chair of UNHRC. He hopes to forge unforgettable memories, make new friends, and wishes all delegates a fruitful and joyful BYMUN 2026!

Yang Yichen
Yichen is a Secondary 4 Bicultural Studies Programme student at Hwa Chong Institution. Despite outward appearances, he enjoys many sports. When indoors, he’s often gaming, scrolling, or reading Chinese web novels. This is his first time serving as a council chair, and he looks forward to learning and gaining valuable experience at BYMUN 2026.
